As part of the Convention, we hold a Modelling Contest that any/all attending members can enter.

Below is a link to the Contest Information page which explains the options and categories available. It also has the entry forms for the models with hints and tips about filling in the forms.

There is also a Photography Contest – this will be judged by someone who has won the contest a few times herself – Ruth Garbutt.

Explanations of the contest rules and categories are on this page. There are also explanations of the forms needed to enter a model in the contest.

There will be a Rick Shoup Award for the Best Model Of An Australasian Prototype. This model can be a loco, rolling stock or structure. The choice is yours.

There will be a John Baker Award for the best Model Of An American Prototype. This model can be a loco, rolling stock or structure. The choice is yours.

Additionally, attaining a point score of 87.5 pts. or 70%, entitles the entrant to a Merit Award which counts towards Master Builder Awards in the NMRA Achievement Program.
