The Lowey Division

Pennsylvania Railroad in the Transition Era

Layout Description

The Loewy division of the Pennsylvania Railroad is a model railroad that is positioned in the transition era.

The layout isn’t intended to be an uncompromisingly accurate representation of the Pennsylvania railroad;

The scenery is complete, but as we know never finished. Construction of the layout began over thirty years ago, twelve years ago it was extended, doubling its size to the current structure.

The track plan allows for a point to point configuration with 20 line-side switching options, the layout has a 6 track staging yard for division point operations and it can also offer continuous running for display and equipment testing.
