Layout Description
Aususa is a layout born from a passion for both Australian and North American railways, and the desire to run a mix of both. The timeline is deliberately flexible, allowing for the operation of both steam and diesel locomotives, as well as a variety of rolling stock.
By the time the convention arrives, we aim to have a triple-level, point-to-point layout in place. The track plan features a single line with yards and sidings along the way to keep operations engaging. We use JMRI to generate our switchlists and support realistic operations.
While scenery may be limited (or even minimal) by the time of the convention, we’re excited to share what we’ve built so far and to enjoy operating trains with fellow enthusiasts.
