Belair

South Australia (ANR/AN) mid 1980s

Layout Description

The layout models the main line from Adelaide, through the Adelaide Hills, to Murray Bridge and Tailem Bend. Operations are timetable-based, with minimal shunting, reflecting the limited number of suitable locations for such movements on the real main line.

Suburban trains operate between Adelaide and Mt Lofty, adding operational variety. The layout is almost fully scenicked and spans three levels, connected by both a helix and the natural gradient of the hills.

The three modelled stations are reproduced as closely to the prototype as possible, including a faithful representation of the Murray River bridge.
