NSW (Diesel Era)
Layout Description
Pajingo Pass is a work in progress. The trackwork is complete, and the scenery is approximately 70% finished.
The layout has two levels:
Top Level (Scenic):
This level starts at 1100mm and climbs to 1575mm at Pajingo Pass. The scene begins in a coastal village and rises up to the summit at the top of the Great Dividing Range.
Lower Level (Staging Only):
Located 700mm off the floor, this level is used exclusively for staging. It can hold around 40 full trains, with lengths ranging from 6 wagons to 36 wagons.
Traffic includes interstate intermodal, unit trains of coal, grain, and ore, as well as express passenger services. There is also general coastal freight serving industries such as bananas, dairy, cement, and mixed goods.
Locomotive power is mainly provided by Auscision, with some Trainorama and Austrains units still in service.
