Membership

To further your enjoyment of the best hobby in the world, why not consider joining the more than 800 Australian and New Zealand members of the National Model Railroad Association Inc.

Membership enables you to meet other model railway enthusiasts of all scales and prototypes. NMRA members and their families meet each month at a member’s home to marvel at the layout, discuss modelling and socialize. Members may borrow DVDs on modelling topics, participate in workshops and enjoy the conventions which are staged around the country each year.

Membership is available for a modest annual fee and there is no joining fee.

Application form

The Association is divided into Divisions centered around the major geographic areas of Australia and New Zealand. By contacting the Divisional representative in your area, you can find out about local modelling activity and meetings. You are welcome to come along to meetings as a visitor and meet the Association members in your area who will be pleased to tell you the benefits of joining the NMRA. ON JOINING… Our Membership Officer will forward you your membership card. The Bi-Monthly Australasian magazine is available to all members on our web page. The membership card entitles you to discounts at many participating modelling shops.

The Mainline is produced locally and published Bi-Monthly. It is a quality magazine choc full of articles, reports and local modelling information. This magazine is available to all members and can be downloaded from our website.

You may also subscribe to NMRA Magazine, the monthly magazine published by the US Head Office of the NMRA.

YOUR COMMITTEE… are all local modellers and our names and phone numbers are always listed on page 2 of the Mainline as well as listed on the Contacts web page. Please feel free to contact any member for information and advice.
